These Terms govern your use of the AYou mobile app, website, and related services provided by TORYMAKER ("we," "us," or "our"). The official document is published on ayoulog.com.
1. Scope and Definitions
- "Service" means the AYou mobile app, ayoulog.com website, related APIs, accounts, local records, AI generation, With messaging, billing, and customer-support features.
- AYou may provide AYou/Fren conversations, tarot, past-life generation, local records such as photos, emotions, memos, tasks, D-day items, and links, daily well-being tools, games, and sharing features.
- Features marked as under development are not part of the production release and may be offered separately only after product, policy, and store review readiness.
2. Acceptance and Eligibility
- By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
- You must be legally eligible to use the Service in your jurisdiction.
- If guardian consent is required under applicable law, you must obtain that consent before use.
- The Service is not directed to children. Access may be restricted where guardian consent infrastructure is required by local law or app store policy.
- We may restrict access to certain features based on service-specific requirements, age ratings, app store policies, or legal obligations.
3. Service Nature and Important Notices
- The Service is an AI Life service for informational, entertainment, productivity, and personal-record purposes.
- AYou/Fren conversations, tarot, and past-life outputs are reference or entertainment content. They do not guarantee facts, future outcomes, or professional judgment.
- Games are for entertainment only and do not offer real-money wagering, cash conversion, gambling, or investment returns.
- Online ranked Baduk is a 9×9 game that randomly matches signed-in members using an AYou internal rating. It is separate from Baduk games played through a With friend-invitation link. Its internal rating and results are only for matching and game experience in the Service; they are not an official kyu/dan, qualification, ranking, or official game record of any institution.
- A With AYou message number and inbox are in-app messaging features delivered over the internet. They are not carrier telephone numbers, SMS/MMS, emergency communications, or identity-verification methods.
- Anyone holding a valid friend link may send a message while receiving is enabled. If a link is exposed or you receive unwanted messages, you can pause receiving, rotate the link, delete or report a message, or block the same sender.
- The Service does not replace professional medical, legal, tax, financial, investment, or psychological advice. High-stakes decisions should be reviewed separately with qualified professionals.
4. Accounts and Security
- The Service may provide email login or OAuth-based login through providers such as Google, Apple, Facebook, or Kakao.
- You do not need to create or sign in to an AYou account to buy a Star pack or AYou Pro, restore an eligible Pro subscription, or use paid content on the signed installation. You may optionally connect the installation's eligible purchase balance and subscription to an account for use on another supported device. Hosting or managing together rooms, publishing shared posts, account-based records, backups, and other features identified in the app may still require an account.
- Online ranked Baduk requires a signed-in account to prevent unauthorized use of the match queue, game seat, and internal rating. Do not share a game-access credential with another person.
- OAuth account selection may be handled as one combined sign-up/sign-in flow. If the selected account already exists, you sign in; if it is new, account creation proceeds.
- Local profiles and device data entered before sign-in may not automatically merge into an existing account. You should review important data before connecting or switching accounts.
- You are responsible for securing your account, device, login methods, backup files, and recovery methods.
- If you suspect unauthorized use, account compromise, or a security incident, you should take immediate security action and notify us.
- To the extent permitted by law, we may limit liability for losses caused by sharing account access or failing to maintain device security.
5. User Inputs, Stored Data, and Generated Outputs
- You are responsible for content you input, upload, store, or share through the Service, including text, photos, birth date/time/place, questions, conversations, memos, links, tasks, D-day items, emotions, and daily-life records.
- Before sending a With message, a sender must explicitly agree to the current messaging rules and these Terms and is responsible for the text they send. With messaging is not a carrier service. A Korean seven-digit alias accepts one SMS under an 80 legacy-byte limit; a global eight-digit alias accepts one GSM-7 160-septet or UCS-2 70-code-unit SMS, as applicable. Multipart SMS, LMS, MMS, and attachments are not supported. Received messages are stored on the recipient's device, and the device inbox holds 99 messages. Our servers keep only messages a device has not yet collected, for up to 30 days, and erase the body and sender link once the device confirms it stored them. So that you can still block or report a message you have received, the sender identifier (block key hash, display tag, accepted Terms version) — never the body — is kept for 30 more days after the device collects the message, then deleted. After that window the message can no longer be blocked or reported, and the app tells you so. While the device inbox is full, new messages are not sent to the device and wait on the server instead; when the recipient frees space, the longest-waiting message is delivered first. A message a device has not collected within 30 days is permanently deleted and is not delivered. Messages still waiting on the server cannot be recovered if you do not open the app for more than 30 days. Whether messages stored on the device remain after deleting the app or changing devices depends on the operating system (OS) backup and device-transfer settings. AYou does not provide its own message backup or cross-device sync. A recipient may read, delete, or report messages in the inbox or block the same sender. Read and delete actions apply only on that device. You are responsible for where you share a public friend link and for its receiving settings.
- When you report a message, a snapshot of that message body is uploaded from your device at the moment you report it and may be retained separately from ordinary inbox data, together with the minimum delivery and sender-block identifiers needed to investigate abuse, for a limited period. Bodies of messages you do not report are not retained on our servers for this purpose. See the Privacy Policy for the exact scope and retention period.
- You must not submit content that infringes another person's rights, privacy, likeness, copyright, trade secrets, or other protected interests.
- The server validates and records online ranked Baduk events, scoring proposals/confirmations, time, and results. It does not provide an opponent's real name, email address, account identifier, or free-form nickname.
- We may process user inputs and generated outputs as needed to provide results, save data, support backup/restore features you choose to use, provide customer support, secure the Service, prevent abuse, and improve quality.
- AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to existing content. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on or using them.
- If you share outputs externally or use them commercially, you are responsible for checking applicable laws and third-party rights.
- If you believe an AI output is inappropriate, infringes rights, raises a safety concern, or violates policy, you may report it through in-app feedback/reporting features or our contact channel.
6. AI Input Restrictions and Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Violate laws, public order, or public morals.
- Infringe another person's personal data, account, content, or intellectual property rights.
- Promote or generate gambling, illegal acts, self-harm, violence, hate, sexual exploitation, or inappropriate content involving minors.
- Bypass service security, authentication, billing, advertising, usage limits, or data access controls.
- Reverse engineer, scrape without authorization, abuse automation, overload the Service, or exploit vulnerabilities.
- Generate or distribute misinformation, impersonation, spam, malware, phishing, or fraudulent content.
- Use With messaging for harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, disclosure of personal data, repeated advertising, bulk automation, or other unwanted contact.
- Bypass or manipulate an online ranked Baduk seat credential, queue, clock, or game state, or send excessive automated requests to that feature.
- Use the Service in a way that may harm us or third parties.
If we suspect or confirm a violation, we may filter a message before delivery, block a sender, review reports, restrict generation, limit accounts, delete relevant data, or suspend access.
7. Billing, Stars, Subscriptions, and Refunds
- The Service may include free features, consumable stars, one-time purchases, subscriptions, or premium features.
- Mobile in-app purchases are processed under Apple App Store or Google Play billing policies and terms.
- Prices, product composition, star grants, and feature access are based on what is shown in the service screen or app store screen.
- Signed-out users may buy consumable Star packs or AYou Pro and restore an eligible Pro subscription. Before an optional account connection, the Service uses a store/RevenueCat anonymous customer identifier and a signed installation identifier to apply purchases and provide paid content without collecting account-registration information.
- Consumable Star packs are not restorable store purchases. Credited Stars remain in the Service's server ledger for the signed installation. If you delete the app, lose or reset that installation before optionally connecting it to an account, a consumable balance may not be recoverable. An optional account connection transfers the eligible paid/reward balance and subscription once for supported cross-device use; first-install trial Stars are not transferred.
- Refunds, cancellations, subscription termination, and billing disputes may be governed by the relevant app store policies.
- Account deletion is a request to delete app account data. It does not automatically refund past store purchases or cancel auto-renewable subscriptions. If you have a subscription, you should separately manage it in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Signed-in and guest users may optionally watch rewarded ads in the Star Wallet for random star rewards. The feature is currently offered in Korea, the United States, and Japan. After a short wait following each credited ad, users may claim again within the daily claim limit shown in the app. The displayed wait time, daily limit, reward range, and availability control.
- Stars are granted after the ad provider confirms that the ad was completed. Network conditions, unavailable ads, confirmation delays, or abuse-prevention checks may delay or prevent a reward.
- Rewarded-ad stars have no cash value and cannot be refunded, transferred, or exchanged. To the extent permitted by law and store policy, we may change or discontinue supported countries, frequency, reward ranges, and conditions.
- We may change product composition, prices, free allowances, and billing policies to the extent permitted by law and app store policies.
9. Store Distribution, Policy Notices, and Review
- The iOS app is operated together with the App Store Review Guidelines, App Privacy, App Tracking Transparency where applicable, and the Apple Standard EULA.
- The Android app is operated together with Google Play Developer Program Policies, Data safety, Target audience and content, Ads declaration, and AI-generated content reporting requirements.
- We provide terms, privacy policy, AI accuracy notices, high-stakes advice disclaimers, and account deletion paths through in-app policy screens and public web documents.
- If app store review requirements, laws, or third-party SDK policies change, we may adjust feature access, notices, data processing, advertising, or billing flows.
10. Third-Party Services and External Links
- We may use third-party services such as Supabase, Vercel, Google Gemini API, OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude API, Google Firebase, Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play, and OAuth providers to operate the Service. An AI provider is used only when enabled for the relevant feature and operating configuration.
- Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- The Service may include external links, share pages, store pages, or billing pages. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for services we do not operate.
11. Service Changes, Suspension, and Data Preservation
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service for product improvement, security, operations, legal compliance, or app store policy compliance.
- Material changes will be announced through the app, website, email, or other reasonable methods.
- Access may be limited by maintenance, incidents, external infrastructure issues, network issues, or third-party service outages.
- AYou photos, emotions, memos, tasks, D-day items, links, and daily-life records are stored by default in the local database on your device.
- Tarot and personal past-life results and their follow-up chats are stored only on that device and are not retained on the server as account results. Deleting a result from the records also deletes its linked follow-up chat and, for a past-life result, its generated image from that device.
- Health-app integration reads or writes only the selected HealthKit or Health Connect categories after you separately grant permission. Turning off the integration does not delete AYou local records.
- The current production release does not provide a single-file export of all local app records. Save and share options provided by individual features, such as saving to the photo library or using the system share sheet, run only when you choose them and do not automatically upload local records to an account server or AI memory without your confirmation.
- Local data depends on device state, app deletion, OS reset, and storage integrity. Where available, use a feature's save or share option to keep a separate copy of important results.
- Deleting a file saved or shared through an individual feature, or a future backup copy, does not automatically delete local data on your current device.
- Unlike local records, online ranked Baduk is a server game linked to a signed-in account. Account deletion deletes the account-linked profile, queue, and participant information; a completed game record with account identifiers removed may remain only as needed for operations, security, error, or dispute response under the Privacy Policy's retention terms.
12. Intellectual Property
- Rights in the Service, apps, websites, UI, logos, designs, software, operation documents, and database structures belong to us or the relevant rights holders.
- You may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, sell, rent, or transfer the Service beyond what these Terms allow.
- You retain rights in content you submit to the Service, but we may process that content as needed to operate and provide the Service.
13. Access Restrictions and Termination
- If you violate these Terms, laws, app store policies, or service policies, we may issue warnings, restrict features, suspend accounts, terminate access, or delete relevant data.
- You may initiate account deletion in the app's account settings. If you cannot use the app, you may use the public web guidance or contact channel to confirm the deletion request path.
- When an account is deleted, data we must retain under law, billing/settlement/dispute records, fraud-prevention records, and system backup copies may be retained for the necessary period.
- After account deletion, information needed for billing, settlement, disputes, or legal obligations may be retained as required by law.
14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law.
- We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
- To the extent permitted by law, we may limit liability for indirect, special, incidental, consequential damages, data loss, or business losses.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, injury to life or body, or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
15. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms due to changes in law, app store policies, service features, or operations.
- Material changes will be announced through the app or website before they take effect.
- If you continue using the Service after updated Terms take effect, you may be deemed to have accepted the updated Terms, unless separate consent is required by law.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Disputes related to the Service will be resolved in courts with jurisdiction as permitted by applicable law.
- We and users will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes through good-faith consultation.
17. Contact and Business Information
